Cultivation

The Nannochloropsis culture is grown out of doors in closed 'Flat Panel Flow Through' and 'Tubular' photobioreactors (PBR).

The water used is pre-treated using mechanical and physical methods in order to ensure sterility. The nutrients used are completely inorganic.

The semicontinuous cultivation system with 'on-line set point’ pH and temperature control provides excellent growing conditions.

Quality Control

During the whole production process – from cultivation to packaging – the product is subject to rigorous quality control.

The quality control includes weekly tests for the presence of Vibrio and total Marine Bacteria, in order to ensure the highest quality standards.
